Saudi Arabia’s Renewable Energy Development Program Office (REPDO), has published today the details of Sakaka 300MW PV and Midyan 400MW wind projects.  The RFQ, which closes on  March 20th, will be followed by a list of pre-qualified bidders by April 10th.  This is the official launching of the 9,5GW target by 2023 and 3,45GW by 2020 recently announced by Minister Khalid Al-Falih.  These projects will be on a Build Own and Operate (BOO) model with 20 and 25-year PPAs signed with an off-taker backed-up financially by SEC.  Read details
