DEWA calls for expression of interest for 800MW solar PV plant extension

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has released a new tender for the 800MW phase III of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.  The project is based on the IPP model.  DEWA has increased the share of renewable energy targets in Dubai’s energy mix to 7% by 2020 and 15% by 2030. DEWA will start accepting Expression of Interest proposals from international developers by end of September 2015.
